November 2023
Please be advised that I am not accepting new clients at this time. Please go to www.iahp.com to Find a Practitioner.
For previous practice members, if you are in need, please reach out though I cannot guarantee I will be able to see you. Also, please note that masking is still required at the office.
Thank you for your understanding.

As of today, Toronto is in lockdown again and Maitri Healing is closed for the time being. I will update this page when I am permitted to re-open.
If you find yourself in a bad way and in need of emergency treatment, many of my colleagues are allowed to be open under the current restrictions, so please reach out and I will do my best to refer to someone good in your area.
Stay safe!

Things are settling in at the new office space 253 Danforth Avenue, Lower Level. The treatment room is right there when you enter the lower level so there are just a few changes to the Covid procedure to keep in mind.
When you arrive, you can enter the building and come down the stairs but please try to wait for me to acknowledge your presence before entering as I may need to grab my mask. There will be a tray for outer footwear and super stylish (not!) slippers are available should you desire. These are disinfected after each use.
I realize that sometimes travel times vary and as the weather cools down, it is possible to enter early if the weather is bad or if you need to use the washroom. What I ask is that you remove your outer footwear if it is wet, then you can take the folding chair provided in the hallway and take it down to the end past the washroom to allow the current client and myself to exit and navigate the space with enough physical distance.

The office will be relocating at the end of this month to 253 Danforth Avenue. There may be some slight changes to the Clinic Procedures based on the new location. If so, those will be updated at that time.
August 2020
The office is now re-opened to clients for in person visits. Please read through the additional consent & clinical procedures listed below. There are no cancellation fees for last minute rescheduling or cancellation due to Covid-19 symptoms so please do not come to the office if you are experiencing symptoms or have known exposure.
Jun 23, 2020 Update
You may have heard that Toronto will be entering Stage 2 tomorrow. While this is very good news, it is important to remember that we are in a time of trying to balance the economy/people’s livelihoods with the still present concerns of a ongoing worldwide health pandemic. As I mentioned, I plan to be cautious and have a gradual reopening rather than throwing the doors wide open immediately. I will be prioritizing clients who had appointments prior to shutdown, existing clients and emergency/urgent cases. Also, I will starting only with those who have been stringent in their own distancing practices. In addition, if you cannot vouch for everyone in your household in terms of their distancing practices while outside the home, I ask that you book in later.
I will be seeing a limited number of clients Wednesday and Thursday of this week as well as Monday through Thursday of next week. I will be away from July 5 – 10th for something that was planned before the announcement of Toronto entering Stage 2 (I will be continuing to practice safe physical distancing and Stage 1 protocols). As of Monday, July 13th I anticipate being able to open up to most appointments, provided numbers stay low and it seems prudent to do so.
Please read through the New Clinic Procedures and Additional Covid consent posted below to ensure you can agree to everything listed before booking.
June 11, 2020
I hope to be able to re-open the office soon. Be advised that I will be starting slowly and prioritizing emergency cases as well as those who have been practicing stringent distancing, along with all members of their household. I understand that you may be in need after many months of staying at home. However, it is important for me to proceed with caution and monitor numbers before opening the practice fully.
If you are returning to the office, you will notice quite a few things that are different. I will post my COVID-19 Additional Consent & Clinical Procedures as well as my COVID-19 Pre-Screening Assessment Questions so you are aware of some of the changes you can expect.
COVID-19 Additional Consent & Clinical Procedures
I am consenting to receive manual treatment from my therapist, Ramona Ng.
I understand that the novel coronavirus, COVID-19, has been declared a worldwide pandemic by the World Health Organization. I further understand that COVID-19 is extremely contagious and is believed to spread by person-to-person contact: and, as a result, provincial health agencies recommend physical distancing. I recognize that Ramona Ng is closely monitoring this situation and has put in place mandatory preventative measures aimed at reducing the spread of COVID-19.
Despite all new requirements given by the Ministry of Health and Public Health Ontario, there is still a possibility of exposure to COVID-19. The therapist will uphold all the mandatory guidelines to keep the treatment space safe and clean to the best of their ability.
I acknowledge that answering fully and truthfully regarding my current health status is imperative for my own safety as well as my therapist and everyone else in contact with us. If my health status changes within the next 14 days (with regard to COVID-19), I agree to contact Telehealth Ontario and to inform my therapist as soon as possible.
After reading the information above, I consent to receive manual therapy at my next appointment.
Please read the next section of new clinical procedures.
New Clinical Procedures
- Please come by yourself to the appointment. Additional people will not be allowed in (this includes children and pets). Exception is made only for those who require a guardian, chaperone, or caregiver to be present for their treatment. Note: anyone accompanying you to your appointment will also be required to pass pre-screening and agree to have their name and contact info logged for possible contact tracing purposes.
- If you need water, please bring your own with you as water and tea are unavailable at this time. If desired, I am able to refill your water bottle.
- Please arrive only 5 minutes before your appointment as the waiting room is not available at this time. If you do arrive early, feel free to text me at 416-727-7536 and if I can see you earlier, I will do my best to accommodate.
- Due to the need for time to disinfect and clean between clients, please be advised that if you are late for your appointment, it will still need to end as originally scheduled.
- Please respect physical distancing if you encounter another person.
- Please call or text when you arrive and I will come open the door for you. There will be a place marked for you to stand where a quick COVID-19 Screening will occur prior to entering.
- Once you pass the screening, you will be directed to a hand hygiene station. There will be hand sanitizer in the treatment room as well.
- Please wear a cloth or paper mask that covers your mouth and nose to the office. At this time, I am requesting that you wear the mask during treatment. If you feel you are unable to tolerate this, please let me know and we can discuss to assess the risk factors.
- Outdoor footwear may be worn into the clinic and left outside the treatment room. You may enter with your own socks or indoor shoes if you choose not to be barefoot.
- There will be a chair and bin for all your personal belongs and clothes to be placed during the session.
- I am limiting payment contact. You may pay by cash but no change will be issued at the time. I have purchased a tap accessory so I am also now able to accept debit. Note that debit will still require contact as the limit is $100. If you have a credit card from a bank that has raised the tap limit to $250, then you will be able to pay by contactless tap. E-transfer and cheque are still accepted. Any receipts needed will be emailed to you.
I am attaching the pre-screening questions here so you know what you will be asked. If you have any doubt about your COVID-19 status, I ask that you reschedule your appointment.
If you have concerns with any of the above, or if for some reason when you are here, you do not feel safe, please address your concerns with me. Your safety is a priority for me. These procedures will be reviewed as new information is released from the Ministry of Health and Public Health Ontario.
I look forward to reconnecting with you and being of service.
